LinkCorral
Quick start: turn on LinkCorral in Safari's Extensions settings, allow it on every website, then hold Z and drag over the links you want.
Turn on LinkCorral
- Open the LinkCorral app once.
- In Safari, choose Safari → Settings → Extensions (called Preferences on older versions of macOS) and turn on LinkCorral.
- Set Website Access to Always Allow on Every Website.
- Reload any pages that were already open.
Use it
Hold Z, press the left mouse button, and drag a box over some links. When you let go, every link in the box opens as a new tab. A counter next to the box shows how many links you've selected.
To change what happens, open LinkCorral's settings: click the LinkCorral button in Safari's toolbar, or go to Safari → Settings → Extensions → LinkCorral → Settings. You can add as many actions as you like, each with its own key and mouse button:
- Opened as New Tabs — with an optional delay between links, auto-close, and "open tabs at the end" options.
- Opened in a New Window — optionally without bringing the new window to the front.
- Copied to clipboard — as URLs with titles, URLs only (one per line or space-separated), titles only, HTML links, an HTML list, or Markdown.
Every action can skip duplicate links, reverse the order, include or exclude links by keyword, and use smart select to pick only the important links on a page. The blocklist turns LinkCorral off on sites you choose, and Export/Import saves or restores your settings as a file.
Troubleshooting
Nothing happens when I drag
- Check that LinkCorral is turned on and that Website Access is set to Always Allow on Every Website.
- Reload the page. Pages that were open before you turned LinkCorral on don't have it yet.
- Make sure you're holding the right key and mouse button for your action. The default is Z with the left mouse button.
- Safari doesn't run extensions on its own pages, such as the Start Page.
- Check that the site isn't on your blocklist.
Which activation key should I use?
Don't use Ctrl: on a Mac, Ctrl-click is a right-click. Z, Shift, or Option (listed as "alt") work well.
Links open twice, or I see two counters
Another link-selecting extension is probably turned on too. Turn off the other extension in Safari's Extensions settings.
Where is the Bookmark action?
Safari doesn't let extensions create bookmarks, so LinkCorral can't offer that action. Bookmark actions in imported settings are changed to Copied to clipboard.
The selection box doesn't line up with my cursor
This happens on some pages that set a fixed width on the page body. It's caused by that page's layout, so LinkCorral can't fully correct it there.
Copying doesn't paste anything
Make sure the action is set to Copied to clipboard, then try the selection again on a regular web page. If it still doesn't work, email us with the site you tried.
Tips
LinkCorral is free, and every feature is included. The LinkCorral app offers optional tips that don't unlock anything. Tips are processed by Apple; for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
