LinkCorral

macOS · Safari Last updated: September 15, 2026

The short version: LinkCorral works entirely inside Safari on your Mac. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your data — no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no servers.

Overview

LinkCorral is a free Safari extension for macOS by TapShiftDev. You hold a key, drag a box over links on a web page, and LinkCorral opens them as new tabs, opens them in a new window, or copies them to your clipboard. It comes with a small Mac app that explains how to turn the extension on. This policy explains how your information is handled — the short answer is that it never leaves your Mac.

What we don't collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone, address)
  • The web pages you visit, your browsing history, or the links you select
  • The contents of your clipboard
  • Device information, hardware identifiers, or fingerprints
  • Location data
  • Analytics or usage-tracking data

How the extension uses web pages

LinkCorral's script runs on the websites Safari allows it on, so it can respond when you hold your activation key. When a page loads, it checks the page's address against your blocklist. When you drag a selection box, it reads the links on the page — their web address, text, and position — to find the ones inside the box, then opens or copies those. When you change LinkCorral's settings, it checks the addresses of your open tabs so it can send them the new settings.

All of this happens in Safari on your Mac. Nothing about your pages, links, or tabs is sent to us or to anyone else.

When LinkCorral opens links, Safari loads those websites the same way it would if you clicked each link yourself. Those websites' own privacy policies apply to your visits.

Browser permissions

  • Website access — Safari asks you to allow LinkCorral on websites. It needs this to draw the selection box and read the links you select on the websites you allow.
  • Tabs — to open the selected links as new tabs or in a new window, and to close those tabs later if you turn on the auto-close option.
  • Storage — to save your settings on your Mac.
  • Clipboard (write only) — to copy the selected links when you use the copy action. LinkCorral never reads your clipboard.

What is stored on your Mac

  • Your actions and options (activation key, mouse button, selection color, copy format, and so on)
  • Your blocklist of sites where LinkCorral shouldn't run

These settings are kept in Safari's extension storage on your Mac and are not synced to our servers — we don't have any. Export downloads your settings as a file to your Mac (your Downloads folder, unless Safari is set to save downloads elsewhere), and Import reads a file you pick. Neither sends anything anywhere.

Optional tips (Apple In-App Purchase)

LinkCorral is free, and every feature is included. The Mac app offers optional tips. Tips unlock nothing. If you leave a tip, Apple processes the purchase through StoreKit under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive your payment details or any personal information, and LinkCorral does not keep a record of your tips.

Third-party services

LinkCorral uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services, and sends your data to no external servers. Apple handles optional tips as described above.

If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your Mac's Privacy & Security settings, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymous statistics such as crash counts. We can't identify you from them.

Children's privacy

LinkCorral collects no personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated date above will change, and material changes will be noted on the App Store listing.
